Today our volunteers were presented a ribbon from the kindergarten class at Our Saviors Grade School. We have enjoyed talking with students, parents and faculty throughout the school year. Thank you for everything you have done for us throughout the year whether it was hot chocolate on those cold days to keep us warm, homemade banana bread, cookies, lunch, the beautiful handmade Christmas Cards and the very special ribbons. Thanks again!!

DOT Foods Grant

Tonight we had the pleasure of presenting the Jacksonville Police Department with a Check to purchase vests for the officers. Through a matching grant from Dot Foods and proceeds from our Policeman’s Ball we are able to give back to our Officers for making our community a much safer place to live and work.

National Night Out

On August 1st, the Citizen's Police Academy Alumni and Morgan County Crimestoppers hosted a National Night Out event at Community Park. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Morgan County Fair

During the Morgan County Fair, the Citizen's Police Academy Alumni assisted with traffic control and helped with parking cars during the Friday and Saturday evening concerts. They also had a booth at the fair and encouraged people to sign up to take the Citizen's Police Academy course and to get involved with the CPAAA.

The donation is being used by the Jacksonville Police Department to outfit 15 squad cars with advanced lifesaving medical supplies. The medical supplies will be an asset for officers in emergency situations.

National Police Week

In honor of "National Police Week" our alumni association treated the officers of Jacksonville Police Department with Leo's Pizza. Everyday these men & women put their lives on the line to keep our community a safer place to live and work. They sacrifice holidays and time with their families & we are forever grateful for each and everyone of them!

Pancake Breakfast at Applebees!

A big thank you to everyone that came and supported our Pancake Fundraiser at Applebee's in Jacksonville on May 20th! A huge thank you to our cook and to each of our members that gave up their time on a Saturday morning!
